York House
Aluminium & Automation Design Installation
York House is a prestigious and highly sustainable commercial office space owned and managed by Loxton Developments. Situated just a few minutes drive from the M4, M32 and a short walk from Bristol Parkway train station in a pleasant leafy environment, York House stands out as the most prestigious commercial office space in this part of Bristol.
As part of a major refurbishment project Loxton Developments approach us to help them overcome challenges with an aging, unreliable revolving door which was not in keeping with their ambitious vision for the building.
Project Brief
ASGuk were instructed to design and install a replacement aluminium entrance structure featuring two automated sliding doors integrated with Paxton 10 access control and a Paxton video door entry system. The design brief identified the need for a solution that achieved seamless functionality, reduced maintenance costs, improved reliability and enhanced aesthetic appeal, all while remaining cost effective to install.
Design & Specification
After an initial design meeting with Loxton Developments it was agreed that a fully bespoke replacement aluminium structure with two automated sliding doors was the best way to achieve Loxton’s requirements. Once initial designs were approved by the client local structural engineering firm MDHP were employed to calculate the structural requirements of both the foundations and the structural supports. Designs were then finalised and a fully bespoke aluminium structure was put in to production.
Two Label UK Eterna 90 Slide Operators were specified for the automation. The key features of an Eterna 90 Slide Operator are:

- A slimline 10cm profile for seamless integration into door header.
- A brushless motor to enhance durability and reduce maintenance.
- Extremely quiet operation.
- Customisable finish – including RAL colour and anti-corrosion paint.
- Wireless activation buttons
Installation & Delivery
Our extensive experience in both the design and installation of bespoke aluminium entrances combined with a carefully put together programme of works allowed us deliver this project on time, on budget.
The new aluminium structure delivers an elegant and modern entrance which significantly enhances the visitor experience and provides a welcome hello to tenants and visitors of York House.
